Each bedroom has a Vintage charm to it, with restored Vintage French Feature Beds, Armoires, Crystal Chandeliers and stylish individual pieces of furniture, bought to suit each particular room. Many of the bedrooms are large, light and airy, with high ceilings, intricate ceiling roses and architraves. Restored Marble fireplaces give bedrooms a unique charm. Coupled with all modern conveniences such as digital TV, Free Wifi and new bathrooms, ensures your stay is a pleasant one. Our Breakfasting room has a charm to it with Vintage restored marble tables, a Carrara marble fireplace , Venetian Mirrors and Crystal chandeliers. The hotel has undergone a substantial renovation to offer guests, a quirky and originally styled BandB, which is a rarity in Newcastle. Groups will be classed as 2 or more. The hotel reserves the right to cancel your reservation if you are group. If members of a group book independently, but still part of a group, the hotel will refuse entry and charges will still be made. We offer discounts for long term guests and relatives of patients in the Freeman and RVI Hospitals. These guests also will benefit from the use of the hotel kitchen, dining room, the staff will do your washing for free and ensure you stay is very comfortable and you are treated with sensitivity and care at a very difficult time. We also accept dogs at a rate of £10 per dog per night. Dog basketsbowls and some treats will also be provided. We are located 5 minutes from the city centre by car, a 10 minute walk and 4 stops on the bus. We are situated just off the A1058 - buses into town 306,308, 310, 309 and 38 (takes you to the Central Station and also to the Freeman Hospital). From Newcastle Airport we are 10 minutes in a taxi. We are also located 5 minutes from the Freeman Hospital and The RVI Hospital. Newcastle University and Northumbria College are also 5 minutes away.
